Is there a cure for breast sag?

Let’s start at the start. What causes breast sag?

Inside the breast is a collection fat cells, glands and milk ducts, all held together by connecting tissue called the Coopers Ligament.

The Coopers ligament is what supports the breast. When this ligament is stretched.….guess what.….your breast sags!

Most information that you read states that breast sag starts to occur after having a baby or during a period of illness.

Well, I’m sorry but that is not true. My breasts started to sag years ago for the very simple reason that they are big…and heavy!

Now for the awful truth…..there is no permanent cure for breast sag…only in Hollywood will a seventy year old woman have perky breasts!

But there are ways to lessen the effects:

1. Wear a bra!! And make sure that it is the right size for you. There are two reasons for this….a good fitting bra will give you support and will slow the natural sag of your breasts but if they are already sagging, a good bra will give them great shape under your clothing.

2. If you exercise, wear a sports bra!

3. Avoid crash diets. Losing a large amount of weight in a short time will guarantee that your breasts will sag. There are exercises that you can do that may assist with halting the sag.

4. There are creams that may (or may not) help to enhance the shape of your breast. If you don’t want to spend money on supposed miracle cures for breast sag at least make sure that you use a good moisturizer and use it daily. This will ensure that your skin is well hydrated and stays look fresh.

5. You can opt for a breast lift. A surgical procedure called a Mastopexy raises that firms the breast by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding breast tissue.
