Breast reduction pills

There are a range of breast reduction pills on the market and the number one pill at the moment is Alexia.

Obviously all the promotional material for Alexia is very positive and I was not able to find a credible story that mentioned any downsides.

So, I have researched the ingredients which make up the pills.

The following is the list of ingredients listed on the Alexia website:

• Proprietary Alexia Thermo-X Blend....900 mg

• Guggulsterones

• Theobromine Cacao

• Green Tea Extract (EGCG, caffeine)

• Sclareolides (3, 17-dihydro-delta-5-etiocholone-7-one)

• Chromium Picolinate

• Other Ingredients: Gelatin, Cellulose, Vegetable Stearate, Titanium Dioxide, FD&C Red # 40, FD&C Blue #1.

What is guggulsterones:

Guggulsterones apart from having a great name are a herbal extract from a plant called the Commiphora Mukul or Gum Guggul.

Apparently this herb has been used in weight loss supplements for years and it has a stimulating effect on the thyroid gland which is the metabolic rate controller.

However, unlike other supplements like ephedrine, guggulsterones apparently do not stimulate the nervous system and so they are supposedly safer.

A documented study in 1999 published in the Current Therapeutic Research journal showed that participants who were using the guggulsterone enhanced supplement lost three times as much weight as the other participants in the study.

There are side effects though and they include diarrhea, abdominal pain and skin rash.

What is Theobromine Cacao?

This is a stimulant and is found in cocoa and chocolate. It is far less stimulating than caffeine.

It has not been proven to be addictive but it has been cited as causing an addiction to chocolate…..finally the medical reason I have been looking for to eat more chocolate! I’m addicted!!

Theobromine Cacao increases the heartbeat and has been shown to be helpful in treating asthma because it relaxes the muscles in the bronchi.

There are side effects and they include sleeplessness, loss of appetite, nausea, tremors, anxiety and a significant increase in the amount of urine you pass.

What is Sclareolides?

Sclareolides is from Clary Sage and is used as in food and cigarettes as a flavorant.

What is Chromium Picolinate?

It is promoted as a weight loss supplement but the studies that have been done have shown very mixed results with no conclusive evidence that it has a good effect or a bad effect!

Conclusion

There are possible side effects to taking these pills and none of the ingredients are shown to have any direct effect on breast size.

However, all the ingredients listed here are included in a range of supplements to assist with overall weight loss and we know that if you lose weight then your breasts are likely to get smaller as well!

So if you are looking for a weight loss supplement and are willing to give the tablets a go to determine if the side effects bother you……then give it a go….
